High Performance Coolant Boost
HIGH PERFORMANCE COOLANT BOOST RELEASED
Motor sport vehicles demand lower engine operating temperatures to achieve maximum efficency and power on the track. The standard water coolant used by many racing cars exposes engines to corrosion that can damage radiators and water pumps.
Amsoil Dominator® Coolant Boost has been formulated to overcome this problem and is now available in Australia.
“This cooling system additive provides both motor sports enthusiasts and owners of other high performance cars with significantly lower engine operating temperatures, quicker engine warm-up times and advanced corrosion protection,” said Laurie Hyland of the Australian distributor, Enginecare Systems.
“Dominator Coolant Boost is formulated with proprietary tiered surfactant technology, providing quick and effective heat transfer inside radiators and cylinder heads. This results in more efficient operation and increased engine power.”
“Coolant Boost also contains a robust mixture of corrosion inhibitors that protect the radiator, heater core, water pump, cylinder heads, engine block and intake manifold from the damaging effects of corrosion.”
“To test the temperature reduction capabilities of Dominator Coolant Boost, dyno tests were performed on a 5.7 litre engine with an aluminium block and cylinder heads. Running the test with both straight water and water treated with Coolant Boost, the engine was operated at 4,500 rpm until coolant temperature stabilised. Test results show water treated with Coolant Boost provided a 7°C temperature reduction.
“Test results on aluminium cylinder heads and metal in automotive cooling systems using water treated with Dominator Coolant Boost showed a significant reduction in the amount of corrosion,” Laurie added.
