The Original Metal Treatment™

The keystone of MPC's line of specialty lubricants, additives and greases is its MT-10 Metal Treatment™. This product is a maximum duty, metal conditioning formula especially recommended for use in lubrication systems where there is a special concern for extra protection due to extreme pressure (EP), high friction-related heat and wear conditions.

MT-10 contains no PTFE, graphite, moly, solid lubricants, or silicone. MT-10 blends well with all petroleum and most synthetic hydrocarbon oils (SHC), enhancing the performance of the treated equipment.

How Does It Work?

MT-10 improves the overall tribological properties of the metal surfaces. Film strength is a function of surface roughness and viscosity. The smoother the surface, the higher the film strength, while viscosity can be lower to improve fluid flow conditions.

MT-10-treated surfaces will increase fluid film strength, reducing friction, heat, wear and energy consumption. This returns efficiency and previously wasted energy back to the system for increased power. This process, combined with the physical surface improvement of the metals, steps up oil flow, reduces metal film strength, improves the shear strength of the base lubricant, and results in an overall reduction in friction and friction-related wear.

 

PL-10 Power Lift Grease

A lithium complex, extreme-pressure, universal lubricant

PL-10 Power-Lift Grease™ is a state-of-the-art, extreme-pressure (EP), noncorrosive lubricating grease. It has been uniquely designed to meet the highest requirements for maximum shear stability, operating temperatures, and lubrication life essential to the operation of today's industrial and commercial equipment and machinery.

PL-10 is unique in its lithium complex base alone as it exceeds all other lithium complex greases due to the addition of extreme-pressure and antifriction additives to its formula. Through this advanced formula, plus the addition of MPC's MT-10 Metal Treatment™, PL-10 treats, seals and smoothes metal surfaces to dramatically reduce high friction-related heat and wear.

LP-10 Lithium Grease

Antiwear, extreme-pressure (EP) lithium grease

NLGI # 2 - Temperature Operating Range 0oF to 275oF (-17oC to 135oC)

LP-10 Lithium EP "Plus" Grease™ is an above-average antiwear, extreme-pressure (EP) grease. Because of its cost effectiveness, LP-10 can be used to replace inexpensive greases that are used in average environments and do not require rigid specifications. LP-10 offers an increased advantage of wear resistance and high load carrying capacity under high, constant and intermittent stress.

Due to the addition of MPC's MT-10 Metal Treatment™ to its formula, LP-10 smooths and seals treated metal surfaces providing increased boundary film lubrication.

WM-10 Wheel Mounting

Extreme-pressure (EP) compound for mounting railroad car wheels on to axles AAR Approved

WM-10 Wheel Mounting Compound™ is an extreme-pressure compound specifically formulated to press fit and mount steel railroad wheels to their axles. It provides an enormous improvement in the ease of mounting and reduces alignment problems.

WM-10 treats metal surfaces, providing improved wheel-to-axle fitting. The addition of MPC's MT-10 Metal Treatment™ to its formula also provides added lubricity and boundary film protection.

WM-10 is used as a direct replacement for the linseed/lead wheel mounting compounds. It is neat and easy to apply, avoiding the mess and hazards of other compounds. In addition, the color of WM-10 provides easy identification on the surfaces of the axle and wheel.

The ultimate in total care and maintenance of firearms, weapons and weapons systems, FP-10 is able to clean, remove lead, lubricate, guard against extreme pressure and wear, plus protect from corrosion.

FP-10 contains MPC's MT-10 Metal Treatment™ in its formulation for improved lubricity and boundary film lubrication. This improves bore accuracies due to FP-10's unique metal-treating capabilities and the reduced coefficients of friction between the bullet surface and rifling lands of the barrel. This results in more linear bullet velocities and a more even distribution of chamber pressure during ignition and bullet flight within the bore. Improved accuracy is expressed in better average velocities, extreme spreads, standard deviations and bullet groupings. In addition, the reduced coefficients of friction mean reduced friction-related heat and wear, not only within the bore, but on all lubricated, moving metal parts of the weapon.

TM-10 Traction Motor Gear Case Additive™ is a maximum duty, metal-conditioning formula specifically designed for use in traction motor gear cases where there is a special concern for extra protection due to extreme pressure (EP), high friction-related heat and wear conditions.

TM-10 increases gear service life significantly while cooling the overall system and creating an extreme-pressure boundary film that protects against wear and damage.
