Larger abrasive particles that can prematurely block or find their way through an engine’s air filter will cause significant engine wear. Contaminated air will reduce combustion efficiency which increases lube oil contamination, increasing wear to valves, rings, pistons, cylinder walls and crankshaft bearings. This will also reduce the economic life of an engine.

Even small volumes of particles which can pass through the filtration system cause premature wear that translates to excessive oil consumption and loss of engine efficiency.
Airborne dirt particles from 10 to 100 microns cause the most engine damage. Many of these aggressive particles are composed of silicates that crystallize to extreme hardness under engine temperature.
REMOVE UP TO 97% OF CONTAMINANTS:
Enginaire Aluminium Precleaners operate by a centrifugal fan system that removes up to 97 per cent of contaminants. These particles are expelled through a discharge port, leaving clean air to be drawn into the plenum chamber, then to the engine.
